What a day of joys and sorrows!

Our first quiz, the experienced team, we won, and we were soooo excited! It is just a blessing to be able to win a quiz at Nationals to me! I began to cry the moment I saw that we had the game won, and I did not stop crying for awhile. Guy and Seth quizzed the best they had ever quizzed by balancing eachother out so beautifully! It was an amazing experience!

We played again later in the day and lost to a team from Ohio who were just incredible. It was two sisters and a brother with their parents as coaches. They interrupted quickly on most of the questions... interrupting is an art we are going to have to learn to be able to compete at all at Nationals. I took the mother's email address to be able to correspond with her and receive some helpful hints on the art of interrupting! They were blessing to quiz with and to meet!

Our intermediate team quizzed the last quiz of the day late Monday evening and lost, but it was a very tough game. They were so disappointed, but Cailey was ready to begin memorizing her materials for next year starting tomorrow!

We all left motivated to begin a new season and come to Nationals next year with a fervor and tenacity!

Tuesday night holds the highlight of Nationals for me. It is the Prayer and Share Service... all the quizzers who are last year quizzers give a testimony of what quizzing has done for them. We are geared to hear some heart stirring testimonies that expound on the power of Bible Quizzing!

The trophies we are taking home may not be the ones of high stature and shiny gold, but they are the treasured jewels of God's Word that has been buried deep within hearts that moth and rust cannot corrupt, and theives can not steal!
